Stephen
OMG GOOOGLE 1 psi is equal to 170.7dB and atmospheric pressure is around 15 PSI and 1 atm is equal to 194dB( theorictly, if i measure the spl of the atm at 101,3KPa and atm drop to 0 KPa, the meter is suposed to indicate 194dB) Remember that spl is relative number.110dB = 0,0009PSI = 0,006KPa 120dB = 0,003 PSI = 0,02 KPa 130dB = 0,009 PSI = 0,06 KPa 140dB = 0,003 PSI = 0,2 KPa 150dB = 0,09 PSI = 0,6 KPa 160dB = 0,3 PSI = 2 KPa 170dB = 0,9 PSI = 6 KPa 180dB = 3 PSI = 20 KPa 190dB = 9 PSI = 60 KPa 194dB = 15 PSI = 101 KPa Higher is'nt possible in normal atm !! you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. You also have to take in account that a material will maintain it's structural integrity only passed 2x the diameter of the whole in it. So a 15" hole would weaken the material about 30" in diameter around that. If I remember that formula correctly. So it would probably be fine. My RE MT 18" wall build Former build, farewell beloved wall.In progress, Toyota Starlet build This forum has a massive boner for ridiculous electrical upgrades. HHR Ed
150 on the dash can translate easily to mid 160s in the enclosure. I strongly recommend using plexiglass instead just so you can secure the seams stronger. I drill through the plex to run screws into the wood, and also use a glue/sealer. The material will hold firm at 1" thick. its the seams you should worry about.
