I cant find any info anywhere on Toxik audio (except they cant spell)and it was built and distributed in Elk Grove but the company is now out of business. Does anyone know what kind of watts I can put to it? Its a duel 4 ohm and thats all I know.

slammin211s Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 first off steve meade kicks ass ... been checking him out on youtube for sometime now and found this board on a whim looking for info on toxik amps secondly .... toxik amps fuckin SUCK!!!!! I got a 1200.1 for $200 after reading and hearing plenty of hype and reading what the damn things cost new and it cant even push a kicker cvx 15 .. i dont play my shit excessivly loud and on a 7 hour drive i shit you not this amp overheated 10 times .. fuck this company no wonder they went out of business from what else ive read for reference my system i had prior to this that got stolen was a jbl 600.1 pushing a kicker l5 solobaric 15 in a 97 toyota xcab pickup and it hit WAY harder than this piece of shit amp can even hope to .. furthermore in reference to my earlier comments with said system that was stolen no overheating issues EVER on 10+ hour drives to arizona and oregon .. id be suprised if the damn thing could even push an 8 decently. Edit: ... and said jbl amp used to push 2 infiniti 10s for YEARS with no problems whatsoever either ... including a trip from california to wisconsin and back

Supercharged DCs Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 Not to be disrespectful, but we don't care what your old system did. The amp could have overheated for a number of reasons, like being wired to low, voltage dropping to low, and clipping. I doubt the amplifier did rated, but let's compare the 1200.1 Toxic amp to the 600.1 JBL, and assume both do rated (I doubt either do but this is an example.) The 1200.1 is twice the power of the 600.1, and if your electrical could sustain the 600.1 it would stay cool, while the 1200.1 might draw to much current for your electrical to safely support. Thus, overheating and protection. Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

I searched a little and found a post on CA.com saying they are rebadged Atomic amps...no idea how true that is, but there are a couple of youtube videos of them too that say how much power they are giving them...MIGHT give you a good ballpark...Pics of the sub in question? He's a fucking idiot. thats all there is to say about him. Toxik was only in production for MAYBE a year. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?
