so ive been wondering... is it better to do a pause to play burp or is it better to roll into it with the bass knob?

Roll

edit, not with the bass knob though. Volume knob.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

i think it depends on your system and what kind of show it is ya know?

for me i just do a 3 second burp stop for 3 seconds re do till i dont want to anymore lol

and for meca i do the same since i know the fuse wont blow but if your like chode say trying to burp on 100a fuses not 150a fuses like he does use he rolles in because thats alot of power for those 100afuses to get as much as he can till it pops

We usually play the track for the frequency we peak at. Pressurizing the cabin can help. I'd use the knob, turn 1/4 of the way, to pressurize, thn let it rip.

Boilermaker what do you mean No...???? Rolling is better for you equpiment period FYI subs don't like to go from dead stop to full excursion in a split second also easyer on the electrical I allways roll it up and posted my biggest numbers doing so

Have you ever had your woofers blown?

My cars and most other dB Draggers have benefitted from a volume knob roll.

I have done as much as .5 dB more by rolling the knob over a straight burst.

But each setup is different and it matters how your amps accept the signal.

Also, some Alpines have an automatic Mute roll. This gave me the most gains. Hit un mute and the volume returns to full at a slow pace.

Boiler Maker, your car may act better on a burst. But this is not the norm.

Most setups are louder from a roll.
