Thanks alot Steve! I cant wait to get my hands on them! Im sure there is going to be some trial and error with getting the box just right. Do you have any advice on box and port size that could help me out. They are going into a 2006 crew cab f150 and getting 5k per sub. And there will be plenty of pics from the time the subs show up til everything is done.

C'grats! 15s or 18s? 15s = 4 cubes tuned from 30-33Hz 18s = 6.5 cubes tuned to 30-33Hz Lower tuning if you into slow downs / C&S. I dare tune them higher unless its purely SPL. www.BladeICE.com UK/European Distributors Ascendant Audio Fi Car Audio XS Power KnuKonceptz.co.uk Facebook Youtube Channel

fritosaregood
so you a nut hugger by the equipment you run...brokay due to asshats statement up above im a DC nuthugger but i will say the SMD and many other subs out there get my attention as well. but im loyal to my DC game. DD, AA, FI, RE..and so on have my respect as well You think you could expect better from a mod than name calling, right?? What i said was a joke,.. hence my "haha" at the end. and i said that because usually every thread like this, and including this always starts out with everyone saying one just cuz someone else had one, without having any experience, and turns in to which sub had more hairs on its balls. Thats also why i also said i had experience with DC but none with the SMD. seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970
Guest
Ordered D1 18s. The plan is to tune it to about 32hz. I was thinking about 5cuft per before port. lol you plan on running a woofer on a smaller box size than is recommended? the port itself will take up 1.5cuft or so. i know some people will be like "that will allow him to run more power"
