Ok so here's more results

I did 5 5 sec 45hz burps IN box, protect twice.

Then 5 5 sec 45hz burps FREE AIR, no protect

Then 5 5 sec 45hz burps IN box, no protect

Now, halfway between each burp I noticed something.. I heard an audible change in loudness, it changed a lot, quieter. Turned down and restarted, started loud and did the same

A strut tower is a bad place to ground too imo!

Im betting you have a bad coil, or a coil on its way out.

I would pull each sub out of the box, and check each coil separately by itself to make sure all coils are good. When trouble shooting things like this, checking the impedance at the outside of the box is just not enough.

You could also put your dmm on the beep setting so it makes a sound when the probes are touched. It should also do the same when you hook your dmm to the coil. then push your sub cone in and out, if you hear a break in the beap you may have a lose connection on the tinsel or the former, or under the dustcap.

I know some amps can be very protect happy when something is blown. My dd 4channels are the same way, they work fine and low to mid volumes but will go into protect when i crank it up if I have a blown tweeter but again completely fine at mid volumes with the blown tweeter.

They are so protect happy that if I disconnect the fried tweet from the crossover the amps will still sense the impedance being not correct and protect at high volumes.

just a few things I would try..

good luck

thanks for the input, what i bolded is EXACTLY whats going on, once it goes up.. protect

i DID dmm each coil, didnt have it on beep though, beeped when leads got touched together haha i never thought of this, im going to rob's house (thorshammer) thursday again to see what we can do i will deffinatly test this that day... thanks for the help

a lot of people are saying bad coil, im leaning towards that now

maybe the coil has a faulty tinsel or something. normally a blow coil would not read an impedance or it would jump around like crazy, lol thats what happened to my alpine. (Strut Tower) <-- I thought that was a good grounding spot??

Yeah I thought strut tower was good as well, but I was talking to rusty he said the slightest thing could change the resitance

We found the issue... Box is to big with not enough rise as well as subs hitting compression limits

Well this is what's up, I have no absolute chance at winning finals running at 2 ohm on this amp, only did a 41.8, my cvx setup was louder by almost a db, I can't run at my .7/.8 due to my no rise issue (if this really is the case), if I were to wire in parallel for my .7/.8 final impedance what are the ways I can increase my rise or impedance?
