i hear ya, i work a wierd shift, so in order for me to get anything done during a woork week its either in the dark or before i go to work. dont really wanna do that. But ill be subscribing definately. Im accumulating things right now, I'm trying to replace or repair everything thats worn so i dont haft to deal with it whne its cold (i dont have a garage) so my budget for my build is being liquidated into that for now, but if it ends up working for you ill prolly end up doing something similar to mine (its a completely diff truck and console but it will be the same theory)

I feel ya on that one. I got up off my lazy ass and went out and got the truck ready to run wires and install everything tomorrow. You got a PM also.

center console looks great, im guessing youd need as many speakers that you can get in there to hear them over the subs lol...

are you doing anything in the big blank section behind the speakers or just using the volume for moar midbass? a normal flip top lid so you can stor stuff in there would be cool

The big blank section is between the seat so I dont want to have speakers firing into the seats. Im not gonna do a flip top its just going to screw down that would just be something else to rattle.

You obviously think getting SUV's over 150 is easy... You are wrong... And walls arent easy either, hows that cheating?... You just must not know what you are doing... You have half the airspace to pressurize as SUV guys...

After talking to Scott a AA he said he likes the Kicker SS tweeters as much or better than his. Also the AA tweets are 25mm where the Kickers are 30mm

Getting an SUV to a 150 is a hell of alot easier than getting my truck to a 150 given the same equipment.

Example: Ive got a buddy with a 2006 Expedition with 1 mayhem 18 and a planet audio 2400 and He is doing 45-46 and that is with clamping 870 watts out of that amp with iffy electrical. Now you cant tell me that if I were to take my electrical and 2 SMDs and 10k and put it in that SUV that I couldnt get to a 150. This is what i mean by easy....no a 150 isnt easy but with the right equipment it is and you dont have to go too crazy to do it. Now to get 155+ now you are talking some serious money and power that why I say thats impressive.

build the box with what whoever suggested *i just woke up, not digging through who sent it to you* tune to 35.. with the proper port area... sometimes not enough port area can choke subs... that loses your loudness

gotz1lung has a similar truck, and has 2 XL 15s on 800w total and is doing 46-47s with his.... your box is all janked up thats all...

do what some one with the knowledge of what they are doing told you to do and you should see numbers...

Ok thats enough responses to that comment. Apparently some people seem to take offense to what I said. My whole point in saying that is that a F150 is hard as fuck to get numbers out of. It is easy to make it feel loud but just not easy to get that number outta the TL.

This is my last comment on this subject and I will drop it and I would appreciate if everyone else would as well.

On a small budget a 150 is very hard to get to no matter what vehicle, im not trying to say you can just throw a couple of random subs and a coupe thousand watts in a SUV and do a 150, im not that dumb, I know alot goes into a 150. My whole point is that if I were to take everything out of my truck electrical, amps, and subs, that getting a 150 out of a SUV would be easier to ascertain than it has been in my truck.

dude, honestly im not trying to bash you, but we dont want to hear excuses... your boxes have been fucked up, plain and simple.... tune to 35hz..... that is prob the perfect freq you are looking for... it will give you #s and sound great doing it..

quit making cuts here and there to tune super low and cutting the port area down...

Dude the first box I built was tuned to 35HZ and peaked at a 148.5 with a port area of 170 sq in. The smaller port area actually helped out alot. Check out Smokeys build he has a port area os 180 sqin with 4 SMDs. I know this isnt a great example because steve tahoe is just a freak of nature but look at that port it is tiny. I will get numbers again once i finish wiring up the doors and console but before the positive lead let go I was at a 150.59 and climbing at 35 hz which is well, alot louder than I have been able to get them at 40 hz so far.
