dwright27 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Share Posted August 9, 2007 Yea i have the mojo 12s loved them but for some reason evrey body i know seems to bust their dust caps off id go with Fi i like the basket = ) back plate pressure causes that from what i understand. having like a slot port directly behind one of your woofres, or the back wall directly behind is what ive been told. I desparetly want a DD 9518 w/ red kevlar cone and carbon fiber dust cap........bad thing is......it's prolly goin be about $1200 shipped Im starting to think that i want an 18" btl for about 500. About how much (watts) would be good for a composite cone? I didn't know it mattered on the watts supplied. Knokin it 420 Posted September 6, 2007 Report Share Posted September 6, 2007 I personaly would take the 9518,I have a 9917 and love it.It can take the abuse plan and simple,no burnt/broken tinsel leads,no creased cone,burnt coils etc.Loud and sounds GREAT doing it.3K,which that amps stuggles to produce isnt doin any justice to the sub.The closes thing to the DD9518 for the money is the 18"Audioque HDC3. 300 Bucks for a sub that can take a beating and get this....It anit no FI crap,it comes with a warranty!
