Guest
so i recently got my viper 5701 in the mail today. Ilovetoinstall on here gave me an awesome wiring diagram that says the following (not all of it, only part): 12 Volts- white(+) ignition harness Starter- black/white (+) ignition harness Ignition- black/yellow (+) ignition harness Second Ignition- black/orange (+) ignition harness Accessory- blue/red (+) ignition harness now i go on the12volt.com and this is what it says Constant 12V+ White Ignition Switch Harness Starter Black/White Ignition Switch Harness Ignition Black/Orange Ignition Switch Harness Accessory Black/Yellow Ignition Switch Harness now the diagram i got from ilovetoinstall says that the ignition wire is black/yellow and accessory is blue/red. yet on the12volt's diagram, ignition is black/yellow and accessory is black/orange. also the second ignition wire on ILTI's diagram is listed as a regular ignition wire on the the12volt diagram. can anyone give me some clarification on this? its a 1994 corolla

Guest
multimeter them. you should test them to begin with. Accessory would show 12v+ when key is turned to ACC correct? and Ignition would show 12v with the key in the ON position (car not on)? but how would i test to find the second ignition wire? n8ball2013
im very rusty on my alarms but it tests the same way. I'm pretty certain you dont have to connect it but if you try to remote start without it the blower motor and stuff like that wont engage. I honestly cant remember now. huh?do-what?
ign and acc will show 12 volts when key is on, but the accessory wires will lose voltage when you crank the vehicle, ignitions will stay close to 12 volts while cranking. God damn its hot today. My balls are stuck to my leg.
Shyne151
Here you go, always probe before connections... Igntion wires will show 12v at accessory, crank, and run... Accessory will show 12v at accessory and run.. And here is your ign wires: 12 Volts white + ignition harness Second 12 Volts Starter black/white + ignition harness Second Starter Ignition black/yellow + ignition harness Second Ignition black/orange + ignition harness Third Ignition Accessory blue/red + ignition harness Pretty coherent for being drunk at the bar on an iPhone -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune.
