I'm a senior research and development technician for general mills. Soon to be a food scientist once I finish my masters degree!

Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking!

You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it.

The name's Rob and honestly I have no idea what my title is, I didn't even ask (3 weeks in)... Basically a network/system consultant (net/sys admin). No matter what the company calls you, you're an admin. I've been doing the same thing for 15 years yet I've been a systems engineer, sales engineer, field engineer, network manager... At the end of the day I still run networks...

That's what I hope to do one day. My name is Roland and I'm 23. As of now, I'm jobless and broke as crap. It's getting to the point where I'm going to start doing volunteer work to get my foot in the door at the local hospital and try to eventually work my way to a network/computer tech position. Having to travel for free work when I have no money is absolutely killing me. Shit like this makes me think it will be years before I see another stereo in one of my vehicles.

He compared himself to some of the "best college trained engineers in the world"

no i didnt. i said "i do stuff that some of the best college trained engineers in the world cant do". there is a difference. some things you can only learn from getting your ass in the shop and doing it.
