Robert8252 Posted September 26, 2010 Report Share Posted September 26, 2010 Probably clipping your amp since it's low power and these are pretty stiff and/or you hearing air noise from the frame vents. If they are brand new subs they are tested very thoroughly. Who on earth told you the spiders are noisy and slappy ? Not only do they have flat leads that cannot slap the cone but the spiders are permanently laminated together so can't make any rubbing sounds between the layers. That is one of the silliest things I've "heard" online in a while. Also... the spiders are mostly Nomex composition. I watched the video on my phone so it was low quality. It just looked like it was moving a lot more than what he stated in his post with little power. And on some of the notes it looked to be bouncing more then it was making noise. I'll rewatch it on my computer here in a minute to see I was wrong.
