Sundown Audio

just got my new subs. please help

Recommended Posts

Probably clipping your amp since it's low power and these are pretty stiff and/or you hearing air noise from the frame vents. If they are brand new subs they are tested very thoroughly.

Who on earth told you the spiders are noisy and slappy ? Not only do they have flat leads that cannot slap the cone but the spiders are permanently laminated together so can't make any rubbing sounds between the layers. That is one of the silliest things I've "heard" online in a while.

Also... the spiders are mostly Nomex composition.

I watched the video on my phone so it was low quality. It just looked like it was moving a lot more than what he stated in his post with little power. And on some of the notes it looked to be bouncing more then it was making noise. I'll rewatch it on my computer here in a minute to see I was wrong.

Chapo, hit alt + f4. Don't come back on here after you have done that until you have applied some damn common sense and actually try and learn something by reading rather than just asking 1500 dumb ass pointless questions in a months time like you have been doing as of lately.

Im sure he dont know much better. We all where not pro like me when we first started. I kid I kid. LoL

But anyways like i said its Chapo, its just mechanical noise, Im uploading a video right now for you.

Mechanical noise is something every woofer will have when free aired :( but thats why we make enclosures for them :)

He linked our video of testing them before shipment -- we have a 1500D on them wide open.

Ohhhhhhh. So you guys were going wild with it under control not him. Lol. He said he was barely power it and yet it was moving like crazy. I go back to my hole now..

Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal?

heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. Sure you may be fine and nothing happens but that one time something does happen you're fucked.

i dont want woofer broke like bass sound clip clip and voice coil overheat
