I know some people that put in a mortgage on the house to get money to buy shit and pay shit off but they couldn't pay the mortgage and their house got taken away. As far as kicking your mom out, it is to my understanding that two people who are married share debts even after divorces and what not, so your dad ends up needing to pay 12k and your mom the other. I do know that my dad paid the mortgage and mom was supposed to pay most of the other stuff and if she needed help she could have just told my dad. I mean my dad isn't a millionaire or anything, but he gets quite a bit of overtime every week. He would give my mom what she needed for bills and buy toys and whatever else with what he had left. This should not have happened with the money my dad makes. My mom spent about a grand a month for the last two years off the company card. I know for a fact my dad could have given her that extra thousand if she would have just said something. But she didn't. stop making sense you'll kill the argument. Earth, you feel me? Source: read a yahoo story once. in a sitution like this, its only the husbands problem if he is enough of a pushover to put up with it. i dont want nova to take this the wrong way, but if his dad didnt know his mom was doing this, then he should tell her its her own damn problem. my wife went out and racked $30,000 dollars of debt without me knowing, and even denied debt when i asked her how she got so and so. she is paying it all off her self, and im not spending a dime on her debt. she even had to file bankruptcy to pay it off, without me spending a dime or having my name tied to her bankruptcy. she is a year from paying her bankruptcy off, and she knows not to ask me for a damn dime to help pay for it. I feel bad saying it but I think my dad should let her deal with it. She will go to prison if her work files it with the police.
