siccostyle Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 the board in the pb 4k is nearly identical to that of the memphis 4k. it has a reputation of doing better at lower voltages, and is 1/3rd the price. also, i have spoken with many many competitors who have run both amps, and all have said the pb4k will put out rated power at 12volts, and that the memphis needs atleast 14volts to do rated. keeping in mind that the absolute highest voltage ive ever seen in my car is 12.4 volts......... and that i still run the 7 year old stock alternator........ That's good info about the amps. I have heard that the memphis needs a 14+ to do rated I don't have much exp with pb but after this info I will be doing some research on them. I am looking for to seeing what the pb clamps at. yeah the powerbass should really wake this sub up. actually, im really impressed with this colossus so far. its rated for 3k at 1 ohm, and does 2,950 at 3+ohms. that says alot for it as well.
