meade916 Posted June 1, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 to those who have been following this build, sorry for the delay! the updates are just now trickling back in! I have been sanding non stop for a week straight.....filling imperfections, pinholes, countersinking the neo-magnets deeper, wiring, sanding, sanding and sanding. Also, I dont know if I mentioned it but after i put the 4" wheels on it, the things ended up being like 8' - 2" tall and would not fit in my lobby with 8' ceilings. That also means i could never take these home since i also have 8' ceilings. This cause a dilemma. With the Hoopty being painted and finished(at the time of last update), these things got tossed on teh back burner since i knew my lovely wheels and the "skirt" that hides them needed to be removed. I finally got cracking on them. After i finished sanding these, I put smaller 2" wheels and ripped the skirt and redid it to match the new wheels. i am HAPPY TO SAY that they are in the booth right now getting primered! After that they will be painted "Piano Black" with an SMD/AA logo on the bottom right corner of the sub box. here is a few pics. MORE on the way later! I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
