Robert8252
Build another box. And another box. And another box. And another box. Box size, wiring, what frequency your box is or what frequency you're playing. It's all in building, testing, and building. hdorre
Ask Boon..lol, jk Rise is usually less in a smaller box. Also, using bigger wire lowers resistance to an extent. Cooler (temperature wise) coils lowers rise too. hdorre
Rockford Fosgate "Constant Power" amps? Wow, free advertising..lol. It is true though about the CP amps. He would need 3 though to get about the same power from his warhorse. You can't wire 3 amps to 1 sub though. Maybe get 4 2500-1bdCPs? skittlesRgood
inductance - sub dependent box size - smaller box = less rise but its less efficient too. tuning - effects the impedance curve nominal load - what you wire the subs to at the amp. unless the RF website got something wrong, the constant power only applies to 1ohm and 2ohm. then does 1500w at 4ohm. Also im not asking for my build. I clamped by buddies planet audio 2400 which he had wired to a 1ohm load on 1 mayhem 18. It clamped 4 ohms and 870 watts. Im not complaining..thats why I added the smiley face. Oh, sorry about that. I just figured you were. Ill get back on topic now. Maybe you could wire it lower in your application so it doesnt raise that high. Is the amp stable that low, do you care about the warranty, and do you have the electrical to back it up Above I listed a few ways to lower rise. If you do a quick google search, youll find a TON of results on a few forums. Thats what I did a few months ago. It takes a lot of reading though because a lot of people BS'd in a lot of posts.
