Jared420
In a couple weeks I have an appointment to have the newest viper remote starter/alarm installled in my truck. Its the one that works from your Iphone or droid. Its the newest version that either is coming out this week or just came out within the last 2 weeks. Anyone know if these a sweet? do they work well? Viper says that starting next month for a whole year a new feature will be added to the app once a month, so 12 upgraded features can be downloaded once a month for the next 12 months. Berto
Viper, and all the other Directed products, are real good products. But that iPhone/Droid capability isn't an alarm, it's just an add on. You need to have an actual compatible alarm to work with that add on. Don't know if you meant you were getting an alarm plus that, but if it is what you meant then I'm sure you will be really happy. I personally want to upgrade to one of the higher Directed line of alarms too. Quote TEAM FLEX ISSUES Car: 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal 24" Rims HU: 7" Carputer, Planet Audio EQ, iPhone. Berto
Don't most of the Directed line of alarms have a 1 mile range? mbdblue
havent heard any reviews on it yet, but from what Ive seen, I would definitely look into getting one. the only 2 turn offs for me is that the iphone/itouch app isnt available as an add on to older models (like my 791XV), and that it costs somethin like 130 bucks annually for the app. Quote AA-Atomic-Clif Designs-DC-Diamond-Digital Designs-Directed-Eclipse-Fi-Hertz-Hifonics-Kenwood-Memphis-Phoenix Gold-Pioneer-PPI-PSi-Stinger-Sundown-TC Sounds-Viper-Zapco
Rainman215
Yeah ive got the 5901 and i love it. Remote start is good and the actual alarm is good. The 2way pager is a nice size and its not too sensitive to the touch.(mini thread jack) if the sounds on the pager become really low do i need to replace the battery?) TeamHT
Love viper, the 5901 and the 5902. The iPhone and Android apps are nice but there have been times when there was serious lag...like almost a minute. Nothing really different from the 5902 and the 01 but the remote.
