Manual trans aren't as hard as automatics but it's still a big pain in the ass and probably better to have done somewhere. May I ask how he fucked it up for my entertainment? ...especially a mustang! crispy_chick3n Posted December 18, 2010 Report Share Posted December 18, 2010 sorry to bring back a thread from the dead, but has he had any other problems when he tries to get going, like possibly the car wanting to stall out? if so i would seirously check the torque converter. it sounds like he may have busted the impeller up insisde the torque converter. if he still hasent gotten it fixed, do you mind posting what kind of transmission it has in it. if you dont know then just post the information off the tag on the transmission, and also post exactly what gears he does have and what gears he doesnt have. make sure you try with the overdrive on and off. ill narrow it down to a specific part in the tranny that is broken.
