Is a capacitor necessary?

Recommended Posts

I've got 4 tweets @ 280 max, 4 6x9's @ 500 max, 4 12" subs @ 3,000 max all being pushed by 1 RF p400.2, 1 RF t-500.2 and 2 RF t-10001bd. Is a capacitor necessary or do i just need to add a batt? Big 3 will be done using 0 ga (of coarse). and will a HO alt be needed?

with 4 tweeters it may be needed

you could always get a flux capcitor and it would deff be way louder

Just make sure you don't hit 88 mph with one of those hooked up.

HA HA very funny. But whats the purpose of them? I've never had to use them but always see them on like two bullshit 12's and crap. I figured a ho alt and add a batt.

I know a few people that run them legitly. But they're not running wal-pacitors. They claim to store power then use a bunch of it for your sub when the sub demands that current.
