BeAlLsTaR13
Well my ipod has been in a case since day 1, literally once i pulled it out of the box it went into a case, i even still have the film protector on it that comes when on it when its in the box lol well i pulled it out of the case for the first time, and saw it was all f'ed up scratched and blemishes all over then i thought of something, and it worked so i figured id do a write up on it lol *now i only did this because i already have the available products for detailing my car, yes my car* Products Used: (2)Meguiars Micro-Fiber Applicator Pad Mequiars Quik Detailer Meguiars Ultimate Compound Meguiars ScratchX Meguiars SwirlX - OPTIONAL Meguiars NXT Generation Tech wax 2.0 yes seems like a lot of products, but the same steps are needed you would use on a vehicle. ***I am not responsible for mis-use of products that may damage your ipod/iPhone*** Beginning Product: First step, simple. Take your Applicator Pad, spray one quick spray of UQD onto the pad directly, NOT onto the ipod its self. Wipe the surface down. Do not leave the surface sopping wet Next step, Apply Ultimate Compound. Apply a bead the size of a pea onto the applicator pad its self. Dab the back of the ipod in a few spots. Apply with pressure using circular motions. When done flip the applicator pad and wipe any excess materials off (not using pressure) Now, apply these next products in order - ScratchX Apply a bead the size of a pea onto the applicator pad its self. Dab the back of the ipod in a few spots. Apply with pressure using circular motions. When done flip the applicator pad and wipe any excess materials off (not using pressure) after you used scratchx use the SAME EXACT Procedure to apply your SwirlX Final Step: Apply a bead of your liquid wax, Meguiars NXT Generation TECH 2.0 wax in this case. Just the size of a pea. Dab the surface you are working on, simply wipe (without pressure) the whole back side of the unit you are working on, you should see sort of a hazzy film cover the ipod, THAT IS OK. The wax has been applied. Depending on atmosphere, wait roughly 10-15 minutes for your wax coating to dry *Applying the wax coating will allow your iPod to shine, as well asgiving it a protective coat against other harmful particles.* Picture below shows the hazzy film that will be left behind after your wax is dry, simply take a clean applicator pad (i dont recommend using the same one you have already used all of your products on to finish off) Simply wipe the surface off with enough pressure to remove the film using a circular motion. This should remove the excess wax leaving a nice, shiny -LIKE NEW mirror-like iPod/iPhone back finish Final Product: Products Used: This is a good process to go through before selling your iPod or iPhone. Gives it a more "Like New" look. I did not do this to sell my ipod however, the idea simply just popped into my head, haha.
