they will lower your car 1.75". so technically yes, i suppose. but i wouldnt go with lowering spring on stock shocks, you'll hate your life in about 5k miles.

this is something i wouldnt cheap out on just for looks, i have tein s tech springs and matching shocks. they're made for each other like peanut butter and jelly.

you dont want to feel like your either jumping on a trampoline or riding on a wagon with plastic wheels. you want to try to get the factory feel, but just a little lower and tighter feeling

im tired, been working on my car for the past 4 hours with only an hour of sleep last night so if you need more help with this gimme a little while until i come to fully haha

i actually did a 2" spring drop on the Lexus and im not "hating life"........i like it. As far as comfort, It rides exactly the same.

As far as handling, its a little tighter.

maybe it depends on the car and the brand of the products you are using, i dont know, but mine is fine.

I wouldnt go any lower then 2" without doing something with teh shocks though. 1.5" to 2" drops are pretty mild so you wont have a problem.

hit up www.roadmagnet.com and see if they have something for you :)

If you are going to do a nice drop like that i would swap shocks out to...I did a 3" drop on my old 96 accord and tried to ride it out on stock shocks and that wasnt fun...Make sure you do it the right way your back and kidneys will like you alot more :D

ya a 3" drop on an Accord is a pretty big drop. A 1.75" drop isnt really that bad. I say do whatever your pocketbook allows you to do. B)

  • 2 weeks later...

ok well roadmagnet.com doesnt have springs listed for the saturn s series... just the Ion.... so im back to the B&G springs... i can get them in 1.75 or 2" drop.... with the height its sitting now on the stock springs... it looks like 2" would be great for the front but it looks like id be cutting it close in the back... but i do know my car is sagging a bit with the stock springs since i have 400+lbs of sound system in the back... perhaps i would be fine with the 2" since the springs are built stiffer... any thoughts?

Seeing as I regard you as the master and roadmagnet doesnt have any springs for a 02 lincoln ls what other brand do you recomend. BTW im comming to cali this summer I wanna see your cars IRL.

Other peoples input is nice too ;)

cut your stock springs 1 inch and it will lower 2 inches. cut 3/4 of an inch and be at 1.50 inches lower.

I do not reccomend you cut your springs. In many cases it can be dangerous. The spring may not sit right in the pocket or perch and could come out. If this happened while driving at speed it could be bad. You will also be more pleased with the ride of aftermarket springs.
