kingsuv Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 The reason wire is used over voltage rails has 2 reasons. 1st is real estate. Rails take up room thus requiring the amp to be made bigger. Plus running from halfway through the board to the other is a logistical nightmare layout wise as well as making the bar stable enough to travel that distance and not vibrate loose 2nd is cost, one to either make the board and case bigger and two that the copper bars are very expensive to 8g wire. Anyone considering these guys needs to have their head checked. Seriously, listen to the people ( like myself) who have dealt with these thieves. They are very friendly until they have your money, or until you have a service issue. And you WILL have a service issue. I'll bet my burnt amps on it. Another thing to consider is, you better be very good at amp design, trouble shooting, and repair. You will have plenty of practice on soldering when you have to wipe the board clean and start fresh with quality parts. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

RobertMcDonald Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 To the guy asking the wiring question, just use a smaller gauge wire. What gauge should I use to wire the 3 subs together? I am installing a Crescendo BC3500 amp. Will 10gauge be ok? My link

I just looked at his you tube channel and what do you know he's not using the pos gendumb. He says its cause he doesn't have the voltage to run it. Bet he smoked it and that's the reason they gave him for it going up in smoke. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
