2 saz-1500D strapped at 0.7ohm?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

New to this forum and From the UK

I have myself a saz-1500D powering 4 jbls at them moment but Ive got two DC level 5 18's ready to go in once I have the power to get them moving.

The lv 5's I have are dual 0.7ohm... plan is to run 4 saz-1500D's, strapped @ 1.4ohm per pair.

Ive been thinking about bringing the build forward and starting next month instead of january/febuary but I would only be using two saz-1500D's untill I got the cash for another two...

My question is would I be ok running the amps at 0.35 ohm each? My power supply is not as strong as your big american cars, the car is a lupo 1.4tdi, I Have a 120a alternator, Ill be using one XS power d3100 for now.

Or would I be safer to use them 1.4ohm per amp? what sort of power do they do at 1.4ohm?

Thanks guys.

I think running them below 1 ohm load will void the warranty, and with the juice you have I would def. NOT run them lower than 1 ohm

2 of those amps on one of those batteries?

those amps will eat that battery, spit it out, and still drop your voltage to "something is going up in smoke" levels.

Am i reading correctly. Is he saying 4 SAZ-1500 off a 120A alt and 1 battery..... Dont do that lol

Even with those two batts and the new alt i still won´t wire them that low, voltage is gonna drop anyways, only way you can use them under 1 ohm it´s having a very steady voltage, i wouldn´t wire them below 0.7 ohms each (if you can have that config) with the kind of voltage you´ll have.
