(2) AP3K or (1) AQ3500.1

the AP3k can be bridged.. who ever told you that they cant is wrong, its bridged for 3k at 2 ohms... lol, you can bridge them down to 1 ohm, which is what my post was stating, bigpimpin runs his bridged at 1 ohm

i'm sorry i meant the AP3ks can't be strapped. talked with the technical support guy with Audiopipe and that's what he said, sort of sucks. but i'm thinking if folks are doing 1 ohm and my plan is to do 1.4 then i can risk that. i know strapping them would bring about a 4 ohm minimum load and i could wire my subs at 1.4 each in series and plan both strapped amps at 2.8 (another risk).

I ran the AP3k at 1.4 and had no issue, yeah you cant strap them but you could prob get something like a maxxlink if you really wanted to do that, But gain matches is prob easiest

yeh the maxxlink is a consideration. i'll have find somewhere to put it in my setup. Anyways i might just do 2 separate chambers to be on the safe side, i got a week or so to think about it before i start on the box.

yeh but i'd have to run each AQ2200 either at .35 or 1.4 and i'm sure that .35 is a NO NO. i wouldn't get the full 2200rms with 1.4 seeing i'm trying to give each sub near 3k each. even with having two Aq22000 strapped the minimum load would be 2 ohms. and i can run both D.7 subs as high as 2.8 and then again with imp rise i might not even see that 4400rms out of both AQ22K strapped. dang i hate the AP3ks can't be strapped, i really don't want to fool with two bass knobs. my only reason for going with the AP3ks is because of the price and good review i've heard on them, two AP3ks is less than the AQ3500.1 or two AQ2200s. I was set on spending $750 on that AQ3500.1 but if i can get more power else where then i'll do so.

yeh i'm leaning toward the 2 AP3Ks and instead of one big chamber for both 18s i'll do two. i'm really hating the AP3k can't be strapped, means i'll have to play with two bass/gain knobs unless i get the maxxlink and i don't think it cost that much, i'll have to price check. i was looking for the AP3500s but can't find them anywhere.
