baaudio
15" L7 in a t-line. i figured why not try it. but im still kinda confused. id like the sub n port to be on the same face. basically max dimensions width is 41" depth 30" height up to 20" (can go higher but hopefully dont need to). sd=156.25 fs=30 qts=.507. would it even be a good idea to try this? or you guys think put it in a ported and slam it? so my math gives me 155 in^2 port, and 9.5' long. sound right? heres the box design. sub inverted. 41" wide, 21" tall, 29" deep Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
baaudio
Is it okay to invert when doing a t-line Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
nCOMP1337
i think inverting changes some things cant remember, forevrbumpn once said i believe, that the square subs would not work properly in a t-line, but i could be wrong
baaudio
Hmm I wouldn't be surprised honestly. mbdblue
I think I remember Ed saying that T-lines were more directed towards small subs and wouldnt really work well with large drivers. AMI CUSTOMS
That L7 is gonna hate that setup. They like really big boxes with alot of port area. They are bitch honestly to model because they behave really peaky. Good luck. I don't think it will do that well with that design. STEvil
square subs work ok in a t-line if you angle the sub a bit. If you leave it face-on then one side of it will "load" more making it rock or tilt.. round drivers do this too, but not as badly. I'd like to hear an L7 in a T-line, never heard one yet.. Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. Its 5.2 cubes tuned to 32 with plenty of port. I'm running it on a zx1500.1 at 2 ohm too Edited November 17, 2010 by baaudio Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
AMI CUSTOMS
Is that gross or net 5.2? Those get very nasty with 6 cubes and the power you have. baaudio
That's before displacement. But ports been accounted for. Should I shoot for 6 cubes you think? I had two for a while in 10 cubes with too small of a port. Sold those. Just got this one from a buddy for working on his dirtbike Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
