any one know of an amp that does 1000 rms at .5 thats around 200-300

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

is it because of the subs VC configurations you need a .5ohm stable amp?

yeah...i assume you have two dual 2 woofers. just get an amp that can output 1000 at 2 ohms if thats the case.

i wonder sometimes when people are wanting amps just so they could wire at .5 ohm. if its VC configuration, then i understand. but so many people are trying it because cool people on this site do it.

i believe the AP1500 does a little over 1000 watts at 2ohms. or find a used Kicker 1000 or an AQ1200

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

why 0.5 ohms? as the guys said, try getting a nice 2 ohms amp, tons of good options, you could even get a bigger 1 ohm amp and just run it @ 2 ohms so you don´t have to buy a bigger amp later when you upgrade, because let´s me real, EVERYONE on this forum upgrades! haha

maybe..that has yet to be figured out yet...lol. i wire below 1 ohm all the time depending on power and equipment. i have nothing against it. but then you have someone who doesnt know enough but wants the amp wired at .5 ohm when its apparent hes not too knowledgable about amps, his equipment, or some of the important things when looking for equipment. then to expect that on a $200-$300 budget.

OP, it would be nice if you could provide more information because everyone is just playing the guessing game.
