MACnonsence6 Posted November 27, 2010 Report Share Posted November 27, 2010 any one know of an amp that does 1000 rms at .5 thats around 200-300 I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. LOL Just get an AQ1200, done. maybe..that has yet to be figured out yet...lol. i wire below 1 ohm all the time depending on power and equipment. i have nothing against it. but then you have someone who doesnt know enough but wants the amp wired at .5 ohm when its apparent hes not too knowledgable about amps, his equipment, or some of the important things when looking for equipment. then to expect that on a $200-$300 budget. OP, it would be nice if you could provide more information because everyone is just playing the guessing game. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
