Back in the 90's though you could pick up a motor with 500-5000 miles on it close to brand new for $500... When Ford drops off 100 cars at a time to get crushed it's no surprise half of the motors didn't make it in the crusher... You have a local shop helping you out or? I was all "yay! A v8!" Then I heard it was a ford engine. Enjoy your breakdowns. It's a 302 not a V10 or a Powerstroke full of farm grade bio-diesel...
