4- LvL5 18's, what amp???????

up to 3kw per sub, the Xls are supposedly louder than the 5s, but past that point the 5s outshine the Xls, so when he says depends on power, it really does depend on power, if you plan on running a SD8k per 2 subs, or 1 sd16k I would go with the 5s or maybe even the neos to be honest...

or 6s :)

i think it was 3kw... might have been higher I cant remember, i know there was a few tests around here

Thanks Derrick. Ok, so let me make sure I'm understanding you guys, ya'll are saying basically at the 3kw range, that the XL's actually get louder than the 5's? So kinda like 3kw is the XL's sweet spot? lol

IF that is the case, wouldn't it be a better choice to go w/ 4 XL's & a SD 12kw? (SD is brand I'm most interested in at this point)

I was thinking a Stetsom 10k or 14k

take baby steps, u cant do it all at once unless u have a roll of 100's big enough to choke a donkey

Yea, talked to the Sound Digital guys & as of right now, their who I'm going with for amps. Anyone interested in a Maxximus?

Derrick has me wondering about the XL's tho.. anyone else have thoughts or facts on this???

How big is ur maxximus and how much r u looking for???????????

sub is re se motor with fi cone in a pre fab box

stock door speakers on an alpine v12 4 channel

sub on a 1000 watt alpine monoblock

need a dash kit and harness to put my alpine deck in

also need tons of sound deadner

need to install my apline type r compontents up front

need to buy type r 6x9's for the rear
