my only complaint is that the r's didnt seem to play as deep as i would like. always left me wanting a little more impact on the low end. its tough to beat 120 bucks a woofer.

Let me see if I can pull up some specs. I built a box for four 10" type rs and they got pretty low. I've always thought they were very decent.

It also depends on space and power. I can see one sub being better depending on the setup

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

they sound great in my horn, alot of punch but I think one sub was unloading little bit

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

Lol. Not much experience I see. Type Rs are a very decent woofer. And for the price a good performer. Not all mainstream is crap.

Even if this weren't a repost, you would still need to post goal, box size, amp, etc

I'm not offended..just annoyed

Hooray for Ninja'ing him?!?!?! :turkey: <--Wtf?

Anyway, I have not heard either of the subs yet, But I am going to order 2 of the Sa's soon, So take this with a grain of salt. From all the research I have done, and all of the reading and questioning on forums from what people have said, the Sa's are better subs by a bit, however, the R's are not far behind, and for 70 to Eighty bucks cheaper, it really makes you wonder. It all comes down to how much money you want to give up and how important good sound quality is. As some have stated in my thread, the R's get fairly loud, but get muddy in the lows, but the Sa's get a little louder, and still sound good doing it.
