I had it up and running and after not using my truck for about a few weeks i turn it on and the amp went into protection. I check all the fuses and it was all good. So i turn the head unit off and back on and the amps turn on and smoke and was smoking non stop. So I pulled the power and ground off the amp and the light show started up the truck was running and the Eng was acting like it was going to turn off. So that is why i pulled the power cables. I know that something got f-up. I have not tried to turn it back on. I need to send it some where that they know these amp. All the shops around here want to buy it from me but are like no way, when it comes down to repairs. Please help me I need this fix asap before my Wedding, if not all my money also becomes hers and we all know what that means. No more spending on car Audio. Mendozauly Posted January 12, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 I was thinking the same thing about the volts but keep in mind that i have a dual alt set up. a 260SP from DC Eng and a 400SP also from DC Eng. Rob and dave did all the set up in there shop and was told that would feel this amp with out any problem. I have a 3100XS batt in the front and apair of 6500 in the rear seat. I had the truck turn on so both alt where up and running. the Radio was not up at all.
