I want two 15's. They will be going in a 04 impala with about 1200-1400 powering them,$350 max is the budget for the subs and I haven't bought the amp yet

So...$350 for two 15s?

I think going uses might be an awesome option right now...

No $350 each

I agree sub does matter, but having the "best" sub doesn't make you loud.

There just isn't a "loudest" sub. In one install sub A could be louder than sub B, but in another sub B could be louder.

No sub is going to be the loudest in every install. I just don't see it happening. If that was the case, why doesn't everybody run that sub?

is that why if you keep the power constant the DDz has killed every other driver it's been up against? the problem is the huge rise it has so it see's less power than the other subs that were in same box. there are like 3-4 top dogs when it comes to all out loud. most sound like shit though

Actually, I know of about 4, or even more cases where the DDz was replaced and scores went up, even with less power.

DDZ isnt top dawg in Stock cabin applications. DC lvl 5s, T3 TSNS and T.2000s, and even and atomic woofer and standard DD9500 have all beat out the Z in super street and street type cars.

i heard a few guys with experience with both the hdc3's and sa'12s say that the sa's play deeper and the aq's are louder. those things put good number while sounding good whats the purpose in spending more money for equal or lesser results?

Personal preference.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

I just want the best sub I can get for $350 at most with about 1500 rms thats loud and sound good...if the sa's can get as loud or louder than the $300-$400 subs I will go that route and save

if you have $350 to spend on each sub try and find some used xl's or something, not sure what price range they are new, but i think it might be within your budget, you'll have to get the 2515's from dd if you want new from them, fi has the bl or q, i don't personally like aq subs, ssackett builds a nice woofer with his oem motor and dc level 5 soft parts that work real well, the sundown z series is around that price...all of those subs are nice subs that can put up some numbers in the right box. It's really just personal preference.

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

wow, comparing the shocker sig to a sundown sa12?

i would hope the shocker would out do it considering the price tag on them

but i would go sa12s

i build a box for a pair and the first test was on a walmart pioneer 460 watt amp, didnt clamp it but daily port at 38 hz it did a 140, comp port at 54hz did a 144~5

bump up the power to an sae1200d, 145+ with daily port, top score so far is 150.8 with comp port,

upgrade again to 3k and 153.0, and thats in a box way too big for them to be able to use all that power before hitting mechanical limits.

wouldnt shit on a company that you dont know much about.

and when did the hellboy setup ever get metered, all i ever saw was reaction videos
