Recommended Posts

You cant start your car while inside the building at casper. So it dosent matter if they work for casper if thats going to be the only thing from keeping you from going. But if your not competing and just be outside giving demos then yea you will need them for sure. I should be at casper all 3 days.

My suburban is a 2006 it's the first year of the LTZ edition It is the 2 pin that does regulate the voltage, but say my voltage is at 13.7 and I roll up all 4 windows, and have the heat on n shit tryn to put a load on it goes down to 13.3 and doesn't go up till I let off the switches... Maybe it will be ok when I hook up the MLA and the other 2 alts...?

The only reason I freaked out is bc last night the truck read 14.8 all night, but I was thinking to my self that may have been bc the new battery wasn't fully charged, the resting voltage on the battery before I put it in was 12.1 and now the resting voltage with the truck off is 13.2 so I'm guessing that may have been what the computer thought was a "load"???

Thanks guys!

Btw I'll be at Casper sat most likely but maybe Sunday too? Not completely sure on that

The MLA will improve it, but it won't fix it. The ECU only charges when it see's a load on the inductive pickup. It's the same crap I have to go through, sometimes 14's, sometimes 13's, and so on. I haven't talked to anyone using an MLA on a ECU run truck yet, just keep an eye on your voltage at start. These trucks can and will spike into the high 15's when it fires up and the MLA adds a volt. Just keep an eye on it...

The ONLY thing you can do to resolve the issue is to incorperate the negative pickup into your systems grounds. It's the only way that I know of to get the ECU to react correctly. I didn't screw with it though. Don't try to make sense of it (if you want to learn the modes and what not look it up online, there are 3 and you can't control them), the only factory override is if your Burb has the towing package. If you put it in towing mode it will charge 14.4-14.9 constantly. If not you have to do an MLA or bypass it (using 4 plug -cs/ad- alts)s and deal with the charging warning.

Did you check your connections, fluctuations in voltage are usually caused by loose connections.

I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.
