Google how ot make certain alts into basically a 1 wire alt. Depends on the alt...ford 3g is popular one. i just did it on my jeep...lol
THEKINGsBACK Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 you need a dual alt bracket... first off he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

Main charge wire to (+) battery, and if you have in exciter wire than that must be used as well (the plug on the back of the alt). lower tuning is just hard. PlugItIn Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 i didnt get an alt bracket. I made my own. and many alts will have a wire that is for the battery light in your car, you need this wire to be hooked up to an ignition power source with a resistor or light inline.
