im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire.

Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block....

Is it still under warranty and did he get it from an authorized dealer??? If so you can take it to them and they can send it to kicker, I once had a zx.1500 and it just cost me 20 bucks for shipping there to get a brand new amp, with all the accessories.

i need someone to repair one of my amps too, i really dont know what it is, its a lanzar and the only words on the entire thing is lanzar opti 500, it was made in like the mid 90's and everytime i look for a pic of it i can never find one that looks exactly like mine, someone painted the bottom of it black and it takes a star bit to open and ive been too lazy to find a star bit tool to open it, anyone wanna fix this thing?

probably an Opti 500x2 : http://media.photobucket.com/image/lanzar%20opti500x2/smgreen2043/DSC01536.jpg

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.
