Looked at my front two tires and they look normal at a glance...until you turn the wheel.

The insides are worn down super bad.

The middle to the outside is perfect but the middle to the inside is non existent.

Now i replaced my front shocks a year and a half ago and didnt get an alignment like i should have but is this the main reason? Lower ball joints have also been replaced.

The car shakes around 70mph and above...until of course yo reach 100 and its smooth as glass. Under 70 it also drives normal.

But the main question...is the front end alignment usually the fix to this problem? The tires will be rotated to the rear...those tires are perfect.

thanks. Im not worried about cost. I am just wondering what other causes are. I am going to get the wheels balanced also.

Wheel alignment is about double that cost around here. So adding in the balance i am guessing around 120 for everything.

holy shit man...thats nuts. Wheels cost 5 bucks each to balance here and about 40 for an alignment. But if you know someone, its about free ;)

But yes, you need a front end alignment, in the end itll still be cheaper than new tires. A number of things can cause un even tire wear, like bad ball joints, wheel bearings, or worn tie rods.

And chances are, youll go in and they will tell you your tie rod ends are bad and etc. Thats how they make their moneyyy

have the ball joints check if you have them. tie rod ends and some of the suspension bushings. i doubt the pitman will cause tire wear. it will cause loose steering. have the bearings checked and packed if possible. what kind of car is this?
