I'm not hatin at all but when u said your son rides shotgun mainly and everyone says man that's not safe. U say ok ill just pull the bag instead of monitor. It sounded like you just wanted the bling and not safety. And fukk what they say bout u havin priorities twisted. I have four kids and I save like a sumbitch for things I have but all bills are payed first. So just keep doing your thing

Ahh, I see. I hadn't really thought of it like that. I would NEVER chose anything over my kids safety. But I had already bought the monitor, and cut the hell out of the dash to get it in. And everyone that rides in my car LOVES it! I didn't think that taking out the bag was any different than if my car had a switch, and I just had it turned off. And don't they say that airbags are more dangerous for kids? I just thought that since everyone wears there seat belt in my car, PERIOD, that it would be the same as if the car had never had the airbag. Kinda like ALL the cars from around 1990 and older, rt? But I'm glad you pointed that out, I feel like I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't, when it comes to that monitor. But it is staying, and the driver bag is coming out too.

I just wish that someone would tell me how to make that stupid freakin light on my dash go away! I know there has to be an easy fix, the damn bag only has 2 wires running into it! Someone, anyone, please????

Purplehaze- if you are on www.ptcrew.com ask a guy called harleyrider. I'm sure he can tell you how to get rid of the light issue. Ptcary on here is friends with him and may be able to find out for you. I agree with what neo-frog said, I can't believe all the shit you caught on here for putting the monitor in your dash. Yet when someone rips apart their dash to fiberglass a new one and they are genious material. Also all of the safety police on here but, you never see them advising the people with big builds adding lots of weight to their vehicle that they should also upgrade their brakes.

I'm pretty sure the force of the air bag deployment pops the annoying clip at the top of the cover and bends the tabs on the bottom to open it up.

I recommend three things..

1. Make the backing (monitor chassis) strong with some good mat.

2. "Soften" the air bag housing where you cut it to prevent tearing during deployment.

3. Reinstall the air bag.

Need an install? Hit me up.

@lowpt- Thanks man. I will definitely check that out. Btw I love your car!!!!

@Neo_frog- I agree. I may end up doing that, if I can't get the light off.

Someone tole me I just need to take out the airbag control module, and have it re-programed. Idk yet, but I am gonna find out!

I didn't get a whole lot done the past couple of days, had to work late last night, and then till five today. But I did get a little bit done, and got a few more things in the mail. Got my new headlight covers and euro taillights. Also finally got my component sets! Still no Hushmat though, dammit!!!

Oh well, I got the plastic cut out in the back, and built the battery trey. Tomorrow I hope I hope to finish it, but of course I cant mount it permanently until I get the HM laid down, but at least I'm getting it ready.
