ShadeTreeMechanic
Setting your gains with the DD-1 is an excellent way to get a base line on your signal. Different sources for music and different songs from the same source can be recorded at different levels. It is up to the person with the volume control to monitor what is happening in day to day use. You still need to use your ear-o-meter. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Daniel Francis Sheppard
With the 2nd sub out could I still play the other since the chamber is divided or will it mess it up???
ShadeTreeMechanic
If the chambers and ports are separate you would be ok. if they have a common port then they need each other to provide proper loading in the port. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Kyblack76
If a line reads true open, it's open. Don't matter where the dust cap is pushed to. An air gap is a air gap regardless. MotorCityFats13
I have taken it out of box already and listed everything that is visible to me in post. I feels as though what holds the coils down by the magnet has broken and is letting the coil move freely up to the cone. I have never had an issue like this before especially so early on. All my JL audios typically last about 5 years before issues. I feel like this sub may have had some type of factory imperfection . that sucks that all your subs have issues after 5 years sounds like time to move away from JL if they give issues after only 5 years
