Of course, now i have the capability to make something special...and i took full advantage of owning a CNC machine. I made a single din spot for a head unit and a spot for the 3 LED meters he has ALSO had velcro'd in the center console forever haha! Oh, in order to access the HVAC controls, i had to cut a hole in the slider kit. I made a replica slider kit (same size, shape and thickness) and cut the hole in that first. Once i knew it was good i took it off the table and dropped in the kit. Cut it real nice! CNC machines ftmfw.

Brandon has been rolling with the velcro dash kit for a long time on his Samsung tablet. I bro'd him down his first one but when he got the new tablet, i told him it was time to lose the 'cro. So a few months back he ordered a side slider kit from Doug at Soundman Car Audio. We haven't had a lot of time to do it but i recently had some time to dive in and get it started for him. I had to get creative if i was going to make this happen as there is not a lot of room to work with. Check out the pics and progress here.

Lesson learned. Don't turn up the bass when there is snow on the rear window and roof. Safe to say my rear hatch flexes wayyyy too much. This was what happened after about a 4 second burp

In order to buy some space, i had to move the HVAC controls out of the way. He said he never uses the vents and didn't care if i blocked them. So i decided to move the controls, which are cable operated, deeper into the dash and up about 3". He will still be able to access everything it's just his middle 2 vents are now gone. He still has the side two vents, the defroster and the floor air. So he is good. He totally doesn't mind it not being there so i went for it. I made some brackets out of aluminum, bent just right and thread tapped for the new fasteners. It came out super sturdy! Again, it will be accessible when the tablet is out. Watch below and see

he had one but within the last week it's been malfunctioning on him. I think he is sick and tired of it. We are gonna get him a new modern deck. I know the Eclipse is good but it is so outdated i know for a fact even a cheap Kenwood or Pioneer will sound just as good....and have all the features his shit doesn't have ? That deck you see in the pics is just me shoving an old pioneer from the bone yard into the sleeve, testing for size. It fits, and sits so nice! I can't wait to finish this for him. He is gonna love it.

Tomorrow i will slop some mud on it and shape it out the rest of the way. Get it ready for paint. I could have got that done today but i had to take off a little early. More pics later!
