Yep. It's either Alachua or Gainesville. I used to frequent the shop where they were engineered, all built by hand. I actually used to ride my bike there and hang out... that's where i got my car audio education before I could drive.

Nice that you found the old school US Amps gear. Their newer stuff is made in China/Korea. The original US Amps operated out of Gainesville, FL and they ended up selling their brand in the early 2000s. RE Audio owns the brand name now. As far as an American Head Unit??? Don't think there is one.

I'd build a slot port with 15-20 sq in per cube. It's easier to get more port area and cutting holes for a PVC pipe is a fucking headache. Is there any way to increase your enclosure volume? I'm a big fan of bigger boxes tuned lower. You don't have to tune to Fs... you can do lower or higher. My sub Fs is 24... It would suck if I tuned that low.

I'm getting down to 14 pretty easy. No unloading and parts on the undercarriage of my car resonate at that freq.

I own a Punch 1 15" and it digs deep when tuned right. I posted a video on my build thread (shameless plug link down below) of it playing 5 hz from my trunk. However after modeling the JBL GT5 15 in WinISD I may have upgrade soon
