is this what makes an Aeroport more effective than a normal un-tapered round port?

How often do you use the spare? It shouldn't take too long if you really only need to have access 1 or 2 times a year. Only other option IMO is to sit it in the rear "footwell", behind the front seat. Do what you gotta do...unless it's a showcar, or you're a chauffeur.

what size bolts did you use, and what drill bit size, if you used a drill to cut the hole?

How are you going to get a perfect cut for the bolt to fit? You just gonna drill a hole and fill it with silicone? I like this idea, and would like to do it on my box build.
