I believe you choose fuse rating based on wires capability. So if wire is capable of transferring 200 amps of current, then you fuse it with 200 AMP fuse.

why not just pay for box design to get it right first time. Rebuilding a box for 8 12" is not that cheap.

why not just do 4 18"? more cone area, so you'll get more shakes.

I doubt it can handle this much power even in the small box. Just as an example, I ran 2 SA 10's on saz 2500, so double their rated power, and I ran them in 1 CF ported box. Recommended size was 2.5 CF. The subs took it fine, but it was double the power. In your case, it's quadruple.
