i think im going to do it all.... i wanna get that tint kingsuv introduced me to... get 4 sirens with batteries in them, get a air horn, and rig something up so if the windows are broke and the door opens the system plays 20 or so tweeters at ~17k ( i would say subs but if youve ever done a sine sweep with high volume starting at 20k you know that shit dont feel right) plus i bet they could play like that for a while without too much batt drain

but you amp is only going to draw so much power either way... a 800w a/b amp isnt going to draw 2000w of power just bc you have 4/0. it would just draw ~1200w at maxed volume. i see where your going thou... if the wire used is only 12g then the amp would never get that contenuous power but the amp would work harder trying to produce that power... plus your wire would get all hot and melty but if your amp was always able to get what power it needs then upgrading the wire is only a plus

bc of the chance of draining... especially on my car where the acessories stay on for 10 minutes or until you open the door

well think about it this way... if you face the subs forward and seal it air tight then all the sound waves are forced foward... if you dont seal it then some waves go backward and refect but since it takes time to do so it ends up canceling out some of the soundwaves (sorta like an echo) now if your tunk isnt sealed then faceing them back will send pretty much all the waves backward to reflect towards the driver (most reflections get louder but it depends on what is reflecting the sound glass is usually the best hence why hatchbacks are so popular for spl)

lol well the best ground is on the batt terminal bc its resistance is something like .00001 ohms (dont memmer the amount of 0s but its more then 2). since this is usually alot lower then the chassis of the vehicle its "better" but you also have to consider the resistance of the wire and the overall length of the path to the batt neg. so depending on what your doign the chassis may end up with a lower resistance level (but it really depends on the car you have and the material the frame is made from, and if its a unibody type thing (bad for ground) so overall both is the best bet and its pretty much nessicary on high end systems. so if your really anal about this then test your frame ground and see what it shows (you meter will need to go below 0 ohms to be effective)
