  1. lol, good to see her getting back in action. I should post the picture of the cone I cut out of it. Felt bad for it. Double rms and playing way below tuning will cause the damage I did to it. But played like that for a few months so no complaints here.
  2. Looks nice man. Is that the one I sent you by chance?
  3. The year that seems like everyone wants to get.
  4. I use to half ass myself on installs but I'm starting to learn better. Getting everything I need slowly but surely, and going to do it the way I have always wanted it and not some quick half assed way. Got my underhood battery, processor and front stage speakers and amps. Now it's time to upgrade the wiring.
  5. USAA doesn't write motorcycle policies anymore, they pawn it off to Progressive, they only write car policies now. Personally, I'd get liability and forget it. It may sound bad, but if you have an accident bad enough to have to file a claim, odds are you won't be alive to be the one to file it. It also helps if you're covered w/ some form of health insurance for minor injuries (broken bones, road rash), but as far as the bike, usually they are total losses. By no means am I suggesting not to get one, I'm a rider (05 Yamaha R1) and I love it, I'm just saying lets be real, on a rocket, you're living life on the edge. You're either gonna fall off the edge or you're gonna continue to make it. Oh yea, I would recommend theft coverage and uninsured motorist which you should be able to add to a liability policy. Man I can't believe you ride Gib, that would a funny site to see (for me at least). Should ride her up here to a show sometime.
  6. Fixed (if we are talking greg with the old school blazer with the sound digital 12k) For me, I either hit up Ray or Bill (kingsuv) since both of them are cool enough to open up with their knowledge of everything to me. Nice people there.
  7. Thanks man. Up to you. If he has them money than all means sell to him. I would rather give you a 20 also. Just let me know.
  8. Yea, it sat for 7 years at my grandparents house after my grandpa passed away. She is used to sitting lol. But yea, I will start gathering up the stuff to get her on the road( transmission fluid and filter, oil and filter, and should do a radiator flush also, and pick up new cats. Figuring it is the cats since they are 26 years old now, and new cats wouldn't hurt either (besides the wallet).
  9. That's one thing I will never do to my truck is sell it. Been in the family since new. She is my baby lol. Yea, figure I should probably get a month pass from the dmv and get her out of the garage so I can work on her a little bit this week to get her ready for smog/diagnose on Thursday.
  10. Oh yea I know. She was my daily for a few years before I put her in the garage. I'm leaning more and more on putting her back on the road. I gave her a 1300 dollar paint job, then spent another 900 in putting in a new transmission. I definitely would have to change out the fluids before I did anything.
  11. Making a tough call sucks. I decided for shits and giggles to look up how much it would be to re register my truck that has been sitting for about 2 and half years. Surprisingly it's only 166 dollars for registration (welcome to California). Have to get it smoged since it's and 1986 f150 (if it wasn't for Arnold and reversing the 25 year rule I wouldn't have to smog it) I have to smog it. Last time I had it smog it barely passed, I mean barely. Limit was 330ppm for Hc and my truck 'blew' a 329. So that means I possibly need new catalytic converters. This truck has 2 of them and since it's a cali vehicle, needs CARB approved ones. I found them for around 85 bucks a pop and should be a direct bolt up replacement. So figure with registration, catalytic converters, and smog I will be looking at it costing me about 450 bucks or so to get her back on the road. I just don't know if the pros out weigh the cons. Pros I can see: 1. Gives me a second vehicle to drive if I can't get my main daily up and running if I'm doing work to it (06 jetta) 2. Allows gets my truck out of the garage and gives more room inside it to do stuff. 3. Allows me to let my mom use my car (jetta) in case her truck (expedition) ever brakes down and can't get it fixed right away. Cons I can see: 1. 450 or so bucks out of my pocket for other things to help out on around the house (I live at home and pay rent since my step-dad is currently unemployed) 2. Doesn't get the best gas mileage in the world if I was to have to use it for work 3. Replacing the cats might not due anything and still won't pass smog. I just don't know what to do. Still trying to decide if I should do it or not. What y'all think?
  12. Guy that totaled it out probably liked what was in your ride and decided to not give you the buy back option. Probably wanted to get everything out for himself.
  13. Sucks to hear man. That is why if/whenever any of my cars get in a crash, I'm going to have them tow it to my house, or a buddies house that is close by. Once it's off the tow truck, start tearing into it to get all my stuff off/out. But good luck with the new car. Buddy has a '94 that we just did the head gaskets on. They have a decent size trunk in them.
  14. I myself am getting the samsung galaxy s 2 also. Sister used my upgrade to get her's this week. Be getting mine next month. Be my first smart phone. Going from a brick to that is going to be weird. lol
  15. The main problem I can see is that they are 2 separate amps, with 2 different rms ratings.
  16. Just placed an order. Finally using some deadner in my ride. Can't wait till it arrives.
  17. Like the title states, looking for a sundown 50.4
  18. Got 2 older pioneer shallow mount 12's. 3.25 inches mounting depth.
  19. DC power kyle had 2 15" SMD firing forward in his 03 camary on 4 RF 2500bdcp's. sealed off firing forward with port going through rear deck. Got stupid low. So you can do a 15 firing forward in that car. Suggest using glass to seal it off on the front of the box.
  20. My next step would be to call Tru and ask them what is going on. They will know exactly what is going on.
  21. How long does it stay on for? It could be a thing where the fans stay on after the amp turns off to get it to a safe temperature. The fans will stay on until it gets to a set temperature then they will turn off.
  22. looks like someone might have bought a kinetic from sonic. But they returned it with a sticker on that battery to get a refund back. Sonic probably had no idea. Just put it back on the shelf and gave it to you when you bought the battery. I would definitely hit them up professionally and explain the situation.
  23. Can always try and put a small slit in it and stuff a piece of rope inside of it to make it a little stiffer. Heard that can help.
