i got 6x2.5x28 = 36.35hz with 15 sq inch of port area per ft, because it takes the gross from 1.45 down to .98 cubic feet

4 10s ported or 4 12s sealed
Team_DC-Derrick replied to jlmtx2002's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
http://www.reaudio.com/documents/sex_manual[2011].pdf says 1.5 ported for the minimum of the 12... why not do 4 12s ported at the minimum, like it says and yes, the specs are backwards for the 10 and the 15... but the 12 stays the same.. that gives you 5 cubes for just the subs to play with, you still have 2 cubes to make the port -

The 20 has no warranty, not sending a new guy to buy with it a warranty, its like a 16 year old driving without insurance -
Level fives or XL??

4 3500s vs 8 2200s, you will get alot more power out of the 8 but the lvl 5s love 3000 rms daily, which after rise, you might be sitting at 2800~ or so with the 3500s, which matches up to them perfectly but 4000+ out of 2 2200s strapped to each lvl 5... and that requires a shit ton more electrical.. its almost 20kw with 8 2200s its around 14kw with the 3500s.. 8 2200s are 3440$ 4 3500s are 3200$ but you are also saving alot by not requiring as much electrical to run the 4 3500s as you would the 8 2200s... just in case you missed this, i ran level 5s for 2 years on 3000rms clamped a piece, and beat the living hell out of them.. they will be reliable at that power range and continue to work for years with that power, if its clean.. LOL -

why not 4 lvl 5s on 4 aq 3500s? that would work out nicely.. and that saves a ton of $... compared to 8 amps.. you dont have to run stupid power to the subs to get loud, i ran 1 7k to 3 lvl 5s and was pulling 55s on music at the head.... -
Touche This was public ... Osama's wasn't. it doesnt matter... if WE as a nation can put it on the news, we can put the video evidence of osama on the news as well... hes still the hide and seek champion in my book, because there is still NO PROOF... and hell, im in the military and dont believe it..

well couldnt he just buy a motor and put the whole basket and cone assemply on it after removing the old top plate? No cause you have to bolt the basket to the motor and that's under the spiders that are ca glued to the basket. So he would haive to cut out spiders and take out cone and coil to do it ahh ok. well thats a bit of a downer. you just need a recone and a new motor... but should get another recone for the other, to make sure they match up, and not 1 being old and 1 being new..atleast, thats what i would do well buying a new motor and a recone, he might as well just buy a new sub. still cheaper to buy the motor and recone, than it would be to buy a new sub... baskets are still a decent price LOL
