is that 2k for subs, amp, wiring, and box? or just the box alone?

how much length do you have from your seat to your trunk back area?

so we really need to know what this guy wants to hit spl wise and go from there, its very possible to do what he wants to do and achieve 150+ but it will take alot of work, so guy... are you wanting mid 40s or 150+ is the question i guess it seems

can you remove the little cover under your rear window to show your whole trunk? if so i suggest porting the box up since you said its a hatchback

well mine is tuned to 34hz and i can only get up to 148, so if he wants mid 40s then yeah he can do it with that, but if he wants to go over 150 its gonna be really rough with a low tuned box... which is why i suggested 38 or higher

well numbers, 38 or higher would yeild higher numbers, unless your completely insane like jack and can do 150 from 20hz to 80hz LOL

do you want to hit high #s with it? since you said competition, you wont get high #s with a low tuned box

could get the MLA sell your 2 lil batts and buy 2 big batts...theres some one on here selling some batts that are almost like the hc2400 for alot cheaper

or you could get a 2 channel amp, that does 1500-1800 per channel at 1 ohm on each channel... just throwin http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/XXVColossus.aspx or the audiopipe ap30001d its 1500 per channel at 1 ohm, and its 3k rms at 2 ohms

just wire it up to the red or yellow wire comming from your radio, that fixed my dads when it did that to him.. i cant remember if its red or yellow, but the one that turns on when your car turns on, the other is a constant one so if your car is off and your amp is on then its the other color!

i had this issue with my dads system, the remote wire was the problem, i took it off the remote on the deck and wired it up to either the yellor or red, *i dont remember it was a long day * But it wasnt the constant 12v source because the amps would stay on allt he time if i did that, try switching what your remote is wired 2

alt to batts, the juice doesnt have any pit stops like it does if you go from front batt to back batt... just run each run to each batt, then connect each batt in the back

i have mine setup as the red right now, but if you do the green you will lose the front batt so unless you desperately need that, i say go with the green, if you need it go with the red

so you have 2 alts and 3 batts? you could do the green, then take a run of pos from each batt in the back and connect them together... to help out with the flow of power *i think*
