  1. Jake, the wife said she wants one for her Civic to test out. What can you do about that for her ? I'm serious when she saw it she said YES to me asking her if she would like to have one.
  2. Thanks Danny! Thanks to the rest of you too. If you still ever want any help with your Kia you know I will do what I can. We got over a db out of it at NSPL finals with only 45 minutes or so of playing around. Just hit me up at a show or something and I'll help you all I can.
  3. I thought the video of the Jack N the Box drive through was nice. For some reason I thought you were giving the guy your autograph, and then I realized that you were just signing the receipt for your food, lol. Has that ever happend, someone asking you for an autograph?
  4. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it! I can't wait to get the car back into the lanes for this new season with the spl setup again. Yesterday's show I used the daily/bassrace box, so that record that's on the shirt will be broken in about a month
  5. Today I went to a NSPL show here in North Carolina in the pouring rain. Not only did I take first in my spl class and bassrace, but I also got a nice gift from Fred Wright Jr. Fred is the founder, owner, and president of the National Sound Pressure League aka NSPL. NSPL is an organization that has been around since the mid 1990's and is expanding quite a bit as of late. Some of the states that participate in NSPL are North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, Maryland, Deleware, Florida, and the country of Brazil. Anyway after the show today I was told by Fred that he had a surprise for me. I was excited to see what it was and asked about it. He said it was more of a personal surprise and I had no idea what the hell it was going to be. Then he handed me this: But it's on the back that counts! Would you like a close up??? Not close enough??? Hmmm, is this better??? These are the current and loudest ever NSPL Hardcore World Record holders. And look there's your boy Team High X-Cursion Zach right there on the list You may notice some of the names on there to be some true titans in the SPL community. I'm honored to share company with these men and hope that I achieve some of the status and success as the greats to be on the list. In case some of you don't know what the Hardcore portion of NSPL is, it's when the Term Lab sensor is placed on the kick pannel of the car with the car able to be vented while trying to achieve the highest spl possible. NSPL also does Db Drag style metering on the passenger side dash sealed as well as Streetbass, which is very similar to Bassrace. It is truly a great organization that recognizes the achievements of it's members/competitors. If any of you are in the states listed or close to them I suggest that you come out and give NSPL a try. There's everything from beginer classes to heavily modifed classes as well as Streetbass and the SPL Eliminator. If you have any questions about shows and the organization check them out at nsplcompetition.com
  6. Kent, you should try your spl box in that Focus and I promis that you'll do over a 150 with it in there. I'm not saying that the Expo isn't loud I just know for a fact that your box has perfect specs to work well in a ZX3. Same way as your Expo it would need to have woofers up and port to driver's side. Vids looked great!
  7. With just 3 yellow tops and no high output alt you are probably dropping into the low 11's maybe even high 10's as far as voltage goes. That is more than likely the reason the amp cut off. The protection circuit on the Sundown amps is pretty much flawless and is better than a fuse imo I use the protection to help me set my amps for burps. If it protects I know that I'm making about the limit of power that I can make
  8. Sounds good then. Just say the word whenever you are ready and you know I'll come on by. I'm thinking about coming within the next week or two anyway. I have my alt set up to be put on so I won't be by for that, probably just to come by and see what kind of trouble I can get into.
  9. Jake, you wanna build a pair of dual 1 ohm 15's to test in my car? I'd be more than happy to help you with any R&D as well as QC.
  10. I lol'd at that.
  11. I don't think that's a good trade on your part at all unless that guy is throwing you about a grand or more in cash along with his truck.
  12. In my particular setup playing higher than my tuning is louder than playing below my tuning. It's also much safer and less stressful on the woofers and amps that way. So that is why I suggested a song that is 6hz higher than the peak, but I have one that will be much closer that I just thought of and can't believe I didn't before. Lil Jon Push That is 43hz, DJ Laz Moments in Bass is 49hz, Lil Jon What You Gonna Do is 44 or 45hz I don't exactly remember.
  13. PPI 356CS on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/PRECISION-POWER-PPI-35...=item45ef37544a I have the 5 1/4's and they sound awesome. I highly reccomend them for the price. I would run the 6 1/2's in my doors but I already have a pair of Kicker RS65.2's there and they sound a bit better imo.
  14. Sorry to hear about the bs. How much for the AQ basket and motor shipped????
  15. Thug motivation peaks at 41hz. A song that might be helpful for you is Bass Mekanik by Bass Mekanik. It peaks at 52hz and is very constant.
  16. If you haven't already done the big three that is the first thing I would do. I think that it's a great idea to add a pair of D3100's as well. That's exactly what I have in the spare tire well of my car and even with the stock alt at the moment my voltage isn't as bad as it would be if I didn't have them. They would be my next purchase if I were you.
  17. I'd be interested if I can make SBN. It's up to the wife to begin with cause I've been spending quite a bit of money lately Guess if I start putting it back now it's a good possibility.
  18. I had heard that momma Meade was quite the attractive lady and now this video proves that it's not just a rumor. Nice hairtricks as well. Can't wait to see those doors done and playing.
  19. Congrats Derrick, for some reason I didn't even know your wife was pregnent again.
  20. I wouldn't mind having some powder coated black to match the motor. Maybe that's something we can work out when I get mine.
  21. I can tell you for the car you can fit a D3100 under the hood if you take out the battery box and modify it to fit. Also you will be able to fit 2 D3100's in the spare tire well with no issues, but I'm sure that's where your tank is going to go so good luck getting everything to fit. Especially trying to run 6 amps in that car and finding a place to put all of them. I'm running 3 amps in mine right now and no room, but I have to try an squeeze another in there somehow to power my kicks. It could be cause I have 2 15's and a huge box for them, but with 4 sub amps what are you planning on running sub wise?
  22. I demo my car with both windows all the way up and the sunroof open. That's how I drive around with it too. I rarely roll the windows down at all. I'd rather turn on the ac than roll with windows down I guess.
  23. Contact Jacob at Sundown Audio at [email protected] and tell him that the Nightshade sent you!!!
