  1. In my particular setup playing higher than my tuning is louder than playing below my tuning. It's also much safer and less stressful on the woofers and amps that way. So that is why I suggested a song that is 6hz higher than the peak, but I have one that will be much closer that I just thought of and can't believe I didn't before. Lil Jon Push That is 43hz, DJ Laz Moments in Bass is 49hz, Lil Jon What You Gonna Do is 44 or 45hz I don't exactly remember.
  2. PPI 356CS on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/PRECISION-POWER-PPI-35...=item45ef37544a I have the 5 1/4's and they sound awesome. I highly reccomend them for the price. I would run the 6 1/2's in my doors but I already have a pair of Kicker RS65.2's there and they sound a bit better imo.
  3. Sorry to hear about the bs. How much for the AQ basket and motor shipped????
  4. Thug motivation peaks at 41hz. A song that might be helpful for you is Bass Mekanik by Bass Mekanik. It peaks at 52hz and is very constant.
  5. If you haven't already done the big three that is the first thing I would do. I think that it's a great idea to add a pair of D3100's as well. That's exactly what I have in the spare tire well of my car and even with the stock alt at the moment my voltage isn't as bad as it would be if I didn't have them. They would be my next purchase if I were you.
  6. I'd be interested if I can make SBN. It's up to the wife to begin with cause I've been spending quite a bit of money lately Guess if I start putting it back now it's a good possibility.
  7. I had heard that momma Meade was quite the attractive lady and now this video proves that it's not just a rumor. Nice hairtricks as well. Can't wait to see those doors done and playing.
  8. Congrats Derrick, for some reason I didn't even know your wife was pregnent again.
  9. I wouldn't mind having some powder coated black to match the motor. Maybe that's something we can work out when I get mine.
  10. I can tell you for the car you can fit a D3100 under the hood if you take out the battery box and modify it to fit. Also you will be able to fit 2 D3100's in the spare tire well with no issues, but I'm sure that's where your tank is going to go so good luck getting everything to fit. Especially trying to run 6 amps in that car and finding a place to put all of them. I'm running 3 amps in mine right now and no room, but I have to try an squeeze another in there somehow to power my kicks. It could be cause I have 2 15's and a huge box for them, but with 4 sub amps what are you planning on running sub wise?
  11. I demo my car with both windows all the way up and the sunroof open. That's how I drive around with it too. I rarely roll the windows down at all. I'd rather turn on the ac than roll with windows down I guess.
  12. Contact Jacob at Sundown Audio at [email protected] and tell him that the Nightshade sent you!!!
  13. Send Jacob an email at [email protected] and see if he's got any used amps. A lot of the time he will and he doesn't always list them on here. On the other hand you could try Chris at Db-r too. I'm not sure what he has in stock though, but if it's refurbed it will probably be in the price range that you want to spend.
  14. How exactly are you planning on running pvc along the bottom of the chasis and have it not be noticable? You could try some black 3 or 4" pvc. That would help hide it a bit instead of having a big white pipe running under your car. I can see it now, you get pulled over and the cops search your vehicle. One of them asks you, "Sir, what is the deal with the plumbing under your car?" Make sure you get a vid of it if it happens.
  15. Whatever Jake you know I'd be as loud as you if I had that kind of power on my single 15 too J/k, but I may be That is a pretty damn good score from that beat up jeep. You need to just go ahead and make it an extreme car so you can reinforce all the shit that is falling apart in it. When is a good time to come for a visit? Also what do you and Brandon know about putting an alternator on cars? My car in general is a pain in the ass and I have a guy lined up but wondered if you and Brandon would be willing to help.
  16. The bad thing is shipping a speaker box it is very likely to get damaged. I don't care how well you pack them there's always the chance that they will end up with a corner smashed in. Just ask Thumper here on the forum. He is in Canada and builds boxes and ships to the US. I'm sure that he'll tell you of quite a few shipping mishaps even though he's gone out of his way to package the box correctly.
  17. Wow, those are pretty funny. Don't buy from James he is out to sell you broken stuff. I find that to be very irritating and I'd probably rip the guy a new asshole if I were you. I wouldn't take to kindly to being called a scammer and would let the d bag calling me so know about it. Oh yeah by the way I don't believe him just so ya know
  18. Where are you located at cause I could easily build one if you are within reason?
  19. An aeroported box is much easier to build than a slot. All you have to do for the port is cut a hole big enough to fit the inner flare and pipe through and then mount the outter flare to the outside of the box. Precision Ports who make aeroports say to cut the hole for the port the exact size of the inner flare and that will allow the outter flare to be mounted properly to the box. So you have a guide that shows you exactly how big to make the hole for the port. You don't need 2.5 cubes either. I would say that 1.75-2 cubes is way more than enough for that sub.
  20. Lol, did Twistedchild420 have anything to do with that one? Reminds me of some of his work.
  21. I was offering to build you an aeroported box. If you just want a design I can do that too, but James had offered first and he is more than capable of a good design for you. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here. I just figured he's in Cali and I'm in NC so if you needed a builder I'd be the more logical choice since I'm closer. Talk to him about a design and if it doesn't work out hit me up.
  22. I have TONS of experience with aeros and live somewhat close to you. If you'd be willing to drive to NC to pick up the box I'd build one for you too. It just so happens that I have a bit of experience with single 12 trunk enclosures too. I did a 143.6 out of 1 btl 12 and 1800 watts in my Escort about 2 years ago. Not too shabby, but that was a slot ported box with about 3 cubes of box volume too. It was tuned to 32hz so it did well for the tuning.
