    explain this logic please? If it needs defrag the PC will let you know. Unless you do alot of downloading and deleting. Its not needed. i havent seen a defrag message pop up ever (on 7 or xp). maybe the pop up runs every 60 days or so. and i thought you meant that newer pc's dont need to be defraged because of some magical thing lol. True. Try and run defrag. Most likely it gonna tell you it doen't need it.
