    I just went through this same thing and I ended up narrowing it down to a ruger 10/22 and a savage mark II. I took the savage.

    If you want a 22 you are either going to get a bolt action. A remington 597 a ruger 10/22 or the smith and wesson m&p 15-22. The rest are all cheap. Also the ar clone 22s if not build as a real ar which i believe the s&w is are not parts swappable wtih any standard ar parts on the market. Which is shit.

    Rays right you can clean it up with steel wool and if you really want to hit it with some aluminum polish and a buffer.

    yeah mine is 3/8 by 1 1/12 or 2 i cant remember. i use a drill press and you can use any aluminum polish. it will be alot of work though.

    stingers suck. i have one in my basement that worked for all of about 10 seconds. Its a shame that they have such a cheap product but it makes me wonder if it sa batch issue. as you can see some had good luck. I do know of someone who is coming out with a voltmeter in the near future that should kick ass..........

    park your car in the sun. let it heat up. optimal temp is like 75 80 or so. just make sure you do a wipe down of the surface to remove any dirt. I did some more in my truck the other day and it was like 60.
