    The gain setting isn't a volume knob. It is possible that sometimes you don't actually need to use gain, so at 0 or in some cases it needs to be maxed out. It's all install dependent, if it flickers at 1/4 gain, then the gain is still too high as simple as that.

    I know about the last part. (i though the measurement from the middle of the cone to middle of the surround was 7 inch that's how you measure it from one half of the surround to the other half. ) And if u take the gasket in account it would be closer to 8.5 inch. I hope OP has answers now.

    I saw u had 20 8 inch subs, right? so that's about 770sq inches of cone area.

    I haven't heared any earbuds that sound REALLY good... But everyone has a different opinion on what sounds good. If they sound the same as skullcandy's they aren't worth the price.(although they look nice on the computer graphic pictures...)

    Just run it, if it breaks or doesn't sound right u can change the box volume and port tuning and use MDF.

    I don't understand that part. Do you mean lower tuning needs more airspace? If so, then it's not true, except if u mean that the port takes up more physical room. (so the box get's physicly bigger.) So the last expalation is true , i get it .

    If u want to have the SMD u will need to stretch u're budget more then 500GPB. And if u blow the 30004spl on 1000w rms then u are doing something wrong. There is no woofer that can't be blown First make sure you don't blow subs fast , and then upgrade.

    You can just buy a D1 subwoofer so u can wire it to 2 ohm for 600W and if u wanna upgrade u wire it to 1 ohm later for 1200 watts.
