Ran into this video (Skip to 2:45) Made me wonder, if someone could connect this to an alternator and maybe make it a bit more powerful, and throw it in the trunk of a car, couldn't this keep the alternator spinning and generate power without the car being on?

The problem seems to be that you are trying to set this through AUX. You should probably get a stereo with RCA outputs and use the CD that the DD-1 came with. Just my personal suggestion\thought.
