  1. It's pretty obvious you don't have a MACS 609 certification so you shouldn't even be messing with it to begin with...
  2. Earhtquake is still around? Talk about a flash back. They used to make some really bad ass equipment back in the day.. (The 90's)
  3. My question is if you are going to do all of the work it takes to do the kerfing, why not do a little more and do all of the port walls?
  4. Do us all a favor. Find a clamp meter and a good DMM, measure ac amperage and ac voltage and let us know what kind of power you are getting. The amount of uninformed knowledge you are trying to sling here is beyond even a dumb asses comprehension. Make a new thread after you get your measurements and realize the error of your explanations.
  5. Since you have blatantly disregarded the rules of this forum twice now after knowing what you are doing wrong and then go and question the rules after all of that, i think you can take some time off to decide if you really want to spend your time here. The staff and the members of this forum dont need their time wasted by someone that cant seem to comprehend as to why rules are put in place and to be followed. See you in 7 days...
  6. http://www.gatespowerpro.com/Comergent/en/US/adirect/gates?cmd=catNavigate2&punchInID=607494 have fun
  7. Please hit the report button in the future. We already have met our quota for rent a mods this week and its only day one of the week.
  8. Sporty ass lookin little car like that and all they could stab in it was 200 horse worth of 2 litre? ugh. Grow some damn balls people and put a real motor in that shit
  9. how large is the drive and what are the sizes of the folders? A lot of usb head units wont read any drives larger than 4 gig
  10. hahahaha what ever you say there plat. Trust me, the bitch gets nasty. I've helped cut up woofers out of the bitch a few times after they threw in the towel...
  11. replacement labor time on that car is 5.2 hours for a complete unit with transfer of parts (Sensors, levers, mounts ect...) Overhaul labor time is 15.1 hours. Figure most shops range on tranny labor anywhere from $65-95 per labor hour and that you are looking at a usual profit range of a total job being 50% parts and 50% labor or even more on the parts side and i think you can do the math. Welcome to drive line repair on vehicles. The shit is expensive...
  12. Even when you hook up the disconnected battery you are going to get a spark like that when you go to hook the battery back up at the battery terminal . The capacitors in the amp discharge slowly when the amp is not hooked up. All you were seeing was a spark from the current draw to recharge them. It scares the hell out of you the first couple times you have to deal with it but its usually nothing to worry about. Accidentally hook an amp up backwards though and prepare for an even bigger spark followed by smoke usually...
  13. Or the alt put such a drag on the motor that it stalled it. What car is it?
  14. Mario isnt available to sell here anyway as it is. Maybe you should follow the rules as well and not buy shit from people that cant legally sell here to start with...
  15. LMFAO and anyone that knows a/c at all knows exactly why i am laughing... ** digging for old ac books to see how wrong i was** Read all you want. Its real life experience that teaches you things to look for. Most books wont cover a lot of the tricks you pick up working in the field. Gee, sounds like a lot of other hands on jobs.. i dont have much hands on in the ac field. i remember what little i did back in the day a few years ago, but i dont have the most expierence. im more of a transmission guy myself, but i still know my way around the rest of the car as well. there is still a lot i have to learn, but i try. lol Case in point. I bet they didn't teach you how to do a poor mans shift kit in any book either did they. you learned that from a veteran trans tech working on a turbo 350 didn't you lol

  17. Diag this one then. Front and rear A/c vehicle with Expansion valves. High side pressure stays static with the compressor engaged but the low side sucks its way down to zero and the front a/c wont cool. Turn on the rear a/c at the same time and all of the sudden the low side pressure comes up into the 30 psi range with high side pressures at 150-200 and is blowing cold but the front a/c is still blowing ambient temperature. You cant diag issues like this without reading the pressures. Same thing with the reid valves in a compressor with the low side needle bouncing in a 20-30 psi swing but it still cools just not very well. There is alot you can figure out from reading gauge pressure.

  19. Ummm, i hope you don't just plan to wire the 2 up to the same wire with no crossover. Do it properly with at least a passive crossover of some type or your tweeter is going to be a hurtin mofo trying to play midrange frequencies and end up getting damaged.
  20. When are people going to learn there are to many variable from car to car and i don't just mean from model to model to be able to tell you which will be louder or sound better. Each car is different. Build it, test it and find out. This thread is now closed due to violating the No VS. thread rule.
